After seven years of filming, the TGE fiscally sponsored documentary Where the Light Enters You is now completed.
In the wake of personal loss, an unexpected sisterhood unites an ambitious New York med student with a spirited girl from a nomadic tribe in India. Along the way, this encounter forces Aney to confront her past and question her future.
In collaboration with trusted partners in the US and India, this film is being used to support Aney and her team as they work to bring essential healthcare programs and infrastructure to the Mir community in rural Gujarat. The goal of our impact campaign is twofold: (1) to help the finished documentary reach global audiences, raising awareness of healthcare and girls' education challenges in rural India, and (2) to support grassroots initiatives that empower women in the Mir community of Dasada, including plans for skill-building programs, safe gathering spaces, and access to clean water and sanitation.
These needs have been carefully assessed by our partner organizations working with the Mir community. Through this impact campaign, the film's journey will continue far beyond the credits.
